How do I get DASH set up and started?

We can have our core DASH dashboard up and running within two weeks. Our tech experts will liaise with your IT team to ensure that your security processes are followed and after that it is as simple as ‘plug and play’. DASH connects to your digital platforms via clever code, then it ingests the data and displays it in real-time.

Can we include more than one intranet in DASH?

What if our internal communications data isn’t reliable - or we don’t have access to it?
Unreliable or inaccessible data isn’t a blocker. To get started, we’ll review what data you currently have, which systems it resides in, and assess its quality. If your internal communications (IC) data is inconsistent or incomplete, we can help investigate the root causes and identify the scope of the issue. Implementing DASH may actually help surface these challenges and provide a stronger case for improving your data infrastructure. If your data is stored in restricted areas – such as admin centres – we’ll collaborate with your IT team to securely access and integrate it into DASH. Where does DASH get sentiment data from?

How often is the data in DASH updated?

DASH data is updated daily as standard, with updates typically processed overnight. This ensures you have fresh, accurate insights available each day to support timely internal communications analysis and decision-making.

Can internal comms teams access region-specific analytics?

Yes – providing region-specific analytics for internal communications teams is possible, depending on the tools your organisation uses. DASH supports localised insights and can be configured to deliver region-specific reporting through role-based dashboard access. We recommend a technical feasibility assessment to understand your current setup and determine the best way to deliver tailored analytics to each regional team.

Can I track team collaboration with DASH?

DASH is not a team management platform. As a result, team tracking is not included in our product.

Yes, DASH can display analytics from both internal social platforms (like Slack or Viva Engage) and external social media channels (such as LinkedIn, Instagram, or Facebook). We only have the standard version of Viva Engage - will that be a problem?

Not at all. DASH can connect to the standard version of Viva Engage (formerly Yammer) using the available API. This integration provides key engagement metrics such as Posts, Reads, Likes, and Comments – without requiring a premium Viva Suite license.

Does DASH provide communication tips?

While DASH doesn’t directly provide communication tips, our Insight team offers a complimentary post-implementation workshop to help your team interpret the data effectively. This session is included with your purchase and is designed to guide you in turning analytics into actionable insights that enhance your internal communications strategy.

Can I export the data from the dashboard for further analysis?

Absolutely. DASH allows you to export branded visuals as PNG files for easy sharing and presentation. Additionally, you can export raw data in CSV format, giving you full flexibility to conduct further analysis using your preferred tools.

Can my own content categories, like page content tags, be included in the intranet metrics?

Yes – standard tagging is supported within DASH by default. If you use bespoke or custom content tags (such as page-specific categories), we’ve successfully implemented similar customisations for other clients. While this level of tagging isn’t included in the core product, we’d be happy to discuss your requirements and explore how we can tailor the intranet analytics to reflect your unique content structure.

Can we view trending intranet content by country?

Yes, DASH can be configured to show trending intranet content by country, giving you localised insights into which pages are gaining the most engagement across different regions. Security and technical questions

How does DASH connect to my organisational data?

DASH uses secure, custom-built integrations to connect with your organisation’s digital platforms – such as intranets, email tools, and social channels. In cases where non-standard or complex systems are involved, our team conducts a technical feasibility assessment to ensure we can reliably and securely access the data required to power your DASH dashboards.

Is DASH secure?

Yes – security is a top priority. DASH is developed using secure coding practices, and when we host it for you (which is our standard approach), your data is stored in our ISO 27001-accredited data centre. This ensures your internal communications data is protected to internationally recognised security standards.

Where is DASH hosted?

By default, DASH is hosted in our secure cloud data centre, ensuring reliable performance and data protection. However, if your organisation prefers to manage hosting internally, DASH can also be self-hosted – subject to your internal IT infrastructure and security requirements. We’ll work with your team to determine the best setup for your needs.

Can I control who has access to the data in DASH?

Yes, DASH Enterprise allows you to manage access with precision. Only administrators and users you specifically choose will have access to the platform and its data. This ensures that sensitive information remains secure and that you can maintain control over who views or interacts with the data.
